You were born to move
Our bodies and minds are incredible machines which so few of us understand or know how to use properly.
I am fascinated by what we can achieve through understanding our bodies and minds better. And as a result of my learning through the extensive training and education I have done, I truly believe, the possibilities are endless.
My method
I help clients optimise their life using an combination of movement modalities and intelligent brain-based movement principles to remap the brain to body connection. Teaching them to move the way their body was designed to move. A method focused on longevity, injury prevention, pain mitigation and improving performance.
Grounded in principles of physical therapy, functional movement and neurodevelopmental sequencing, my sustainable approach has a strong focus on posture and alignment that works to:
re-map optimal movement patterns in your body
improve the brain-body connection
improve proprioception, balance, stability, strength and motor control.
It is not a quick fix approach; there is no such thing. It is a ‘lifestyle’ choice. Something that becomes a part of your every day because it is a non-negotiable rather than a ‘nice to have’.
With over over 700hrs of trainings, I have certifications in functional yoga, functional range conditioning, yoga, yoga for sports and currently studying for certifications on neuroscience for pain and performance and functional breathwork.
Often described as similar to Pilates but with a yoga influence, my approach fuses all of these practices together and combines them with my extensive anatomical knowledge, to help re-educate my clients, not just telling them what to do, but how and why. For me it is paramount that you understand why it is so important to embody the principles I share so that I can inspire and empower you to transform the way you move and feel and as a result, how you experience life.
Is this for you?
The short answer - is yes. This approach is for everyone. Old or young, fit or unfit, motion restricted through to hypermobile, professional athlete(s) or home runner. Those recovering from an injury or operation, suffering from osteoarthritis, going through cancer treatment or wanting to row the Atlantic, my approach will help you move and feel better regardless of your starting point. You do not need any prior movement experience, just a openness to learn and a willingness to want to optimise your life, wherever you’re at.
Movement encompasses everything that we do - right down to thinking. So whether you’re performing a voluntary movement, a reflexive stabilising movement or simply having ‘a thought’ - every system we have in our human brain and body is designed to support movement.
“At the most basic level, the intricate firing rates and patterns of your brain both determined who you have been and more importantly who you will become. All human change represents changes in that individual’s nervous system.
All that we are is brain derived.”

Who do I help?
Peak Performance Individuals:
This encompasses anyone and everyone.
Don’t let the word ‘performance’ put you off. The word simply means - the action of performing a task or function.
Optimising your life is about ensuring your mental and physical performance doesn’t limit you from doing all of the things you want to do and achieve in life. And that ALL starts with movement.
Whether you are recovering from an injury, have regular aches and pains or niggles, have a goal to achieve, or just want to maintain how you currently feel for the long term, its essential to train your movement. Our brain and body are ‘use it or lose it’ systems, meaning if you don’t train your movement to maintain it, over time, you will lose it. It’s an awful lot easier to keep your motion than work to get it back again once it has been lost, therefore never think you are too young or even too old to start. What you practice (or don’t practice) is what you will become.
This approach is for anyone interested in getting the most out of their life, by ensuring how they move and therefore how they feel doesn’t take away from their experience of how they show-up in their life, day-to-day, week-to-week, year-after-year.
Peak Performance Athletes:
If you use your body to make a living you are an athlete (whether that’s typing on a keyboard, playing an instrument or kicking a ball on the field).
Not only that, but if you do any sort of sports - whether a simple home runner or professional sports-player, you are also an athlete.
Therefore you should treat your body and movement as such when it comes to training.
The difference between being average and outstanding is the precision with which you train - even if it requires more energy to be precise, as the body always adapts to exactly what it does.
My approach looks at addressing restrictions in the body, working to re-balancing the body as a result of observed imbalances and re-mapping optimal movement patterns in the body. It focuses on targeting deep stabilising muscles through the whole core container (cervical spine to pelvic floor) to help built an efficiently functioning body from the inside out.
I have worked with a range of clients across the military, horse riders, ultra marathon runners, Atlantic rowers and would love to hear from you if you are an individual athlete or a team looking to improve your sporting performance.
Corporates:
The benefits of employee wellness for organisations and their employees is well documented.
There is now more than ever a need to educate those working in desk-based environments and working from home in sedentary environments.
My mission is to help empower employees in order to take their wellbeing at work in to their own hands.
Getting them moving is beneficial, but getting them to understand why they need to move is brilliant.
Improving employee wellbeing both mentally and physically and helping enhance their performance is only ever going to bring positive, tangible impacts not only to your employees lives and work-performance but to your company too. A happy workforce is a productive workforce.
I can work with you to create a bespoke programme of workshops, movement classes, or even video content or guide you on what would be beneficial for your employees if you don’t know where to start.
I am also available for brand events and festivals.
Overs 50s:
I am passionate about helping clients as they age to continue to move well as I believe ageing is a privilege. And we shouldn’t have to feel that we can’t do the things we used to love just because we’re a few years older.
Balance, stability, strength, co-ordination, proprioception, full range of motion, functional breathing - are all critical to maintain as we age to help prevent against injury and indeed unnecessary decline as the brain and body are ‘use it or lose it’ systems.
As you move in to later life, prioritising maintaining your health (mentally and physically) is going to mean you can enjoy independence and freedom for as long as possible through preventing injury, and mitigating against pain by keeping your body working as it was designed to do.
I specialise in over 50s and work with clients who have come to me with osteoarthritis, knee replacements, postural issues, limited range of motion, cancer, hip/shoulder/back pain and more.
